Daily routine that you are committed to that helps improve your life?

"Walking for at least 30 minutes each day, or getting to my gym 3 times per week for an hour."

Question: What's a goal you have accomplished recently that you are really proud of?

"My biggest goal that I've accomplished recently was taking time back out from working in my business and creating passive income revenue streams. As a producer, I've finally handed off all of my client editing, and as a podcast manager, I created a membership to help other creators start, launch, grow and monetize their show. This is part of a bigger goal I've had for myself of prioritizing my mental health, slowing down, and still being of service in an impactful way."

What's a book you are reading or have read that really impacted your life?

"This is How You Heal by Brianna Wiest. This book found me at a really transformative time in my life, when the stories I was telling myself were taking over my ability to heal any further. It was the exact book I needed to take the stories out of my mind and take actionable steps to rewrite what's true for me."

What's your favorite Lifey Moment?

"The friends I've made through the Lifey community, and learning from Johnny for almost a year."

Lifey Freestyle: Tell us about your journey with Self-Expression When we're young, we're told -- without realizing it -- how we should be, who we should be, and why we should or shouldn't show up in our authentic self-expression.

In fact, many of us go through life without really tapping into who we are as individuals, and we often don't even realize what is innately true for us. This happens without even knowing it.

Growing up, my sense of self-expression was hidden behind 'not enoughness' -- not enough as a friend, a sister, a partner, a daughter, and so on. Eventually, we spend our entire lives living through the lens of someone else's expectations of us, which turns into stories that play on repeat in our minds, and ultimately creates our reality and how we show up in the world. It impacts what we do, what we don't do, the steps we take, and the opportunities that we let pass us by.

Earlier this year I found myself in a tumultuous time of my life -- one that completely rocked my world and ripped the safety of what I thought life should, and would, look like. My own journey to self-expression came into question -- who am I? What do I love? What lights me up? And am I showing up on the outside how I feel on the inside? The journey has been uncovering where and how this theme shows up in my life, if at all.

So I got a tattoo, it was small, simple and for me, powerful. It's a lightning bolt on my left wrist, as a constant reminder to be bold, to take risks, to try again, and to dig deep for the energy you know you bring to the table when you feel like you're not enough.

You see, we all have an inner self expression that often gets dimmed as we get older. The key is to follow the little internal nudges that lead us back home to ourselves, that help us tap into our inner voice and show up like we mean it. How can you express yourself today?
